"A graceful, minerally version, featuring rich notes of smoke, mandarin orange peel & chalk that lead to subtle accents of crème de cassis, toasted almond, espresso & star anise on the fine, creamy mousse. Seamlessly knit, with citrusy acidity leaving a mouthwatering impression on the finish. Drink now through 2031." - Wine Spectator

"Bright pale slightly greenish straw. Rich, very tightly laced nose with many layers and great density – on the nose. Real excitement here with some tension. Some unashamed richness underneath but excellent freshness too. Something quite electric about this. Almost unfurled. You could certainly drink this with pleasure already but there is clearly lots tucked away here for future development. Impressively long & reverberant." - Jancis Robinson

  2. Dom Perignon 'P2' Champagne 1998

    96pts - Wine Spectator

    18.5pts - Jancis Robinson

"This vibrant Champagne is tightly knit up front, with a dense core of smoky minerality & ripe dried apricot & white cherry flavors. Expands on the satiny palate, revealing accents of pastry cream, toast, singed orange peel & toasted coconut that echo on the persistent finish. Drink now through 2028." - Wine Spectator

"Rich & vanilla and broad now, the nose has really opened out. Creamy. Tiny bead & still lots of acidity but now it’s lime sherbet & dancing away. Quite an impact on the palate. Neat, firm impact on the finish. Very long & vibrant. Really builds towards the end." - Jancis Robinson

Dom Perignon's Chef de cave, Richard Geoffroy: "The wine-growing season was marked by extremes, with a few grapes burned by the sun in a spectacularly hot August, & especially grey, rainy weather during the first two weeks of September. Postponing the harvest allowed us to take advantage of the miraculous spell of good weather that followed. That decision defined the creation of the vintage. When the harvest began on 21 September, the grapes were perfectly ripe & healthy.' Disgorged late 2009 and early 2010."
