Made from Tuscany’s noble varietal; sangiovese. The Bocelli family’s passion and expertise are on full display in this exceptionally bright, lush, and appealing Sangiovese.
With grapes hand-harvested from some of the best vineyard sites in Morellino, the fruit is deliciously ripe & smoky, with notes of marasca cherry, granite, & rhubarb compote. The finish is long & suitably dry, with admirable acidity that makes the palate taut & pleasing.
The wines from Puglia - @ Italy's 'boot' - have rocketed into Italy's high quality offerings!
Great quality & at prices much more affordable than the more famous areas of Tuscany & Barolo
Negroamoro is a grape native to Puglia & they specialize in this as a unique offering.
Dense purplish red, it is very intense on the nose with lots of soft ripe & fleshy red fruits - fresh raspberries & cherries with spicy overlays.
Medium to full bodied, but powerful, & with a balanced acid finishing streak
Try it - great with grilled meats!
When you dedicate a wine to your mother & also put her image on the label, then presumably the wine had best measure up to a high standard.
That's exactly what Claudio Veberti has done with this delicious Barbera dedicated to his mother Gemella.
This is indeed lovely Barbera; juicy, full bodied & vibrant with a long balanced finish.
Top, top quality. Just like his Mum.....
A terrific sangiovese Sparkling Rose! Pale, soft pink. Complex and characterized by a distinct aroma of bread crust. Fresh and smooth with a dense and persistent perlage.
The grapes are harvested during the first ten days of September. They immediately undergo soft pressing at a temperature of 10°C. The first fermentation process takes place at a maximum temperature of 15°C. The Meleto rosé wine ferments again in the bottle where it is in contact with selected yeast for 2 years during which the bottles are frequently turned. After two years, the bottle is disgorged with the addition of liqueur d’expédition and it is ready for consumption.
